It is a blend of historic architecture and modern conservation practices. The zoo is renowned for its successful breeding programs for endangered species.
THE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Let the journey begin.
Europe, the world’s second-smallest continent, is situated entirely in the Northern Hemisphere and mostly in the Eastern Hemisphere. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south.
Europe is home to 44 countries, each offering a rich tapestry of cultures, histories, and landscapes, from the snow-capped peaks of the Alps to the sun-drenched beaches of the Mediterranean.
Austria has a varied climate, with Alpine regions experiencing cold winters and mild summers, while the lowlands have a continental climate with colder winters and warmer summers.
Overall, Austria has a mix of mountain, continental, and Mediterranean influences, resulting in diverse weather patterns across the country.
The currency used in Austria is the Euro (€), which has been the official currency since its adoption on January 1, 2002.
Before the Euro, Austria used the Austrian Schilling (ATS) as its currency. The transition from the Austrian Schilling to the Euro was part of the European Union’s currency integration process, known as the “Eurozone.”
