THE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Let the journey begin.
Europe, the world’s second-smallest continent, is situated entirely in the Northern Hemisphere and mostly in the Eastern Hemisphere. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south.
Europe is home to 44 countries, each offering a rich tapestry of cultures, histories, and landscapes, from the snow-capped peaks of the Alps to the sun-drenched beaches of the Mediterranean.
Poland has a temperate climate with cold winters and warm summers. The country experiences a mix of maritime and continental influences, resulting in varied weather patterns throughout the year.
Poland uses the Polish złoty (PLN) as its currency. The złoty was introduced in 1924, replacing the Polish mark. The mark was introduced in 1919 following World War I and the formation of the Second Polish Republic. The transition to the złoty was part of a broader effort to stabilise the Polish economy.
