Did you know… The Taj Mahal is made entirely of white marble and is considered one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Interestingly, it changes colour throughout the day – it’s a soft pinkish hue in the morning, dazzling white during the day, and golden at night when lit by the moon!

THE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Let the journey begin.

Asia is the largest and most populous continent, covering about 30% of the Earth’s land area and home to more than 4.7 billion people, roughly 60% of the global population. It is traditionally divided into several regions, including East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Western Asia (also known as the Middle East), each with distinct cultures, languages, and historical influences.

Known for its vast diversity, Asia is home to major world economies like China, India, and Japan, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, and the Arabian Desert, while also being a centre of innovation, rich traditions, and some of the oldest continuous civilisations on Earth.

India has a diverse climate, ranging from tropical in the south to temperate and alpine in the north. The country experiences three main seasons: summer (March to June), monsoon (July to September), and winter (October to February).

The official currency of India is the Indian Rupee (INR), which was introduced in its modern form in 1935 under the Reserve Bank of India Act. It replaced the Indian rupee issued by the British colonial government and was standardised as part of India’s efforts to control its own monetary policy.
