THE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Let the journey begin.

Asia is the largest and most populous continent, covering about 30% of the Earth’s land area and home to more than 4.7 billion people, roughly 60% of the global population. It is traditionally divided into several regions, including East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Western Asia (also known as the Middle East), each with distinct cultures, languages, and historical influences.

Known for its vast diversity, Asia is home to major world economies like China, India, and Japan, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, and the Arabian Desert, while also being a centre of innovation, rich traditions, and some of the oldest continuous civilisations on Earth.

Nepal’s climate varies greatly due to its diverse geography, ranging from tropical conditions in the lowlands to alpine climates in the Himalayan region. The country experiences five distinct seasons: spring, summer (monsoon), autumn, winter, and pre-monsoon.

The currency of Nepal is the Nepalese Rupee (NPR), which was introduced in 1932, replacing the Indian rupee that had been used in the country. The currency has undergone several changes over the years, with new banknotes and coins issued to reflect Nepal’s national symbols and historical figures.

Tourist Visa

-----------------------------
Visa Type: Single/Multiple Entry
Visa Fee: AED 110
Validity: 15 Days

Visit the Nepalese immigration website to begin the process of securing a visa for your child.

All steps have been outlined below for your reference:

  1. Complete the mandatory application form
  2. Collect and collate all required documents
  3. Within 14 days of submitting the application form, visit the Nepalese Embassy in Abu Dhabi to submit the visa application between 9:30 and 13:30 (Monday to Friday)
  4. Return to the Nepalese Embassy on the same day to collect your child’s passport and the approved visa between 14:30 and 16:00
  5. All set – we hope your child has a great trip!

Please note, the visa fee must be paid in cash!

While certain nationalities are eligible for a visa on arrival, the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi has advised that, due to the larger volumes associated with school trips, and to facilitate a smoother and more efficient immigration process, it is recommended that visas be applied for in advance to ensure quicker entry and a more seamless experience in the country.

A tourist visa is issued for 6 months from the date of approval and is valid for 15 days after entering Nepal.

We therefore recommend submitting the application to the Nepalese Embassy approximately 4-8 weeks prior to travel.
